“If I Die Before You Wake”

This prayer is at the end of a moving slide show presented by An American Soldier. The credit for this moving tribute goes to writers Dustin Evans, Rick Tiger & Dave Brainard, the song is performed by Dustin Evans. The words and images in this show are incredibly moving and sincere, and as the authors of the piece notes in their song, the price is worth the effort.

Dear Lord,

There's a young man or woman far from home,
Called to serve their nation in a time of war;
Sent to defend our freedom
on some distant foreign shore.

We pray You keep them safe,
We pray You keep them strong,
We pray You send them safely home,
For they've been away so long.

Bless those who await their safe return
and those who mourn the lost.
Bless those who serve this country well,
No matter what the cost.

God, bless America and her heroes…

…and thank You for the privilege to serve.

Never Forget them!

When I figure out how to attach a PowerPoint slide show to my blog I’ll post the slide show that goes along with this, until then join me in saying this little prayer.

UPDATE:
I don't have to figure it out yet, Texas Grey was kind enough to just upload it to her storage site, and send me the link. You can access the PowerPoint Show by clicking on the title link.

Thank you Texas Grey
