It happened one year ago this month and was one of the worst disasters ever to hit U.S. women in uniform. But out of that dreadful attack came a true band of sisters—tied together by friendship, honor and raw courage.”

Who are these Iraqis you may be asking? My new best friends.”

Serving the People of Iraq writes Spotting an IED with a UAV “On a regular basis, we take with us an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV-a remote- controlled airplane) on our mounted patrols. From various points in our area of operations, we launch the UAV in an attempt to keep the insurgents off guard as they try to place improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along an important supply route that we patrol. On several occasions we have used the UAV to thwart what appear on camera to be very suspicious circumstances. On one occasion we caught someone ‘in the act’.”
Omar of Iraq the Model writes The Battle for Baghdad. “Politics, security and economy correlate to each other in a way that any shift in direction in any of the three elements affects the other two in one way or another.
Among the three, the economy has been relatively more stable than the other two in Iraq; two steps forward then one backward, then the other way around, stable exchange price of the dinar over the past two and a half years, more or less stable oil production and exports etc, etc. while politics and security are much more turbulent and obscure.”
Politics of a Patriot writes The Citadel: Why I Am Not Going “I have had quite a few people ask me if I am going to The Citadel, why I am not going to The Citadel, and congratulating me on going to The Citadel. 15 Minute Lunch writes How many MPB* does it get? “I was on my way to work this morning and I was waiting at a red light next to another car. The car happened to have a "For Sale" sign in the window. It was a pretty nice looking car, so I started checking it out. I don't need a car; it's just something I do. Don't judge me. No rust, no dents, not bad for the asking price.”
