A Triple Volunteer is Laid to Rest

Army Spc. Barbieri, 24, of North Potomac, a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, was killed by small arms enemy fire on Aug. 23 south of Baghdad, according to a statement released by the Army. Today at 1130 hours he was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetary.

A triple volunteer, first as a firefighter, then as a soldier and finally as a paratrooper defined the character of Spc Barbieri. Please stop by and let his family, friends and fellow fire fighters know that you appreciate his decidation to duty.
