Bill Roggio writes Suicide Strike Kills 42 Pakistani Soldiers in Dargai “Over 20 wounded in attack on Pakistani Army training base in the Northwest Frontier Province As the Pakistani government continues to press for a peace accord in Bajaur and elsewhere in the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan, a suicide bomber strikes at an Army base in Dargai in the Northwest Frontier Province. “Coalition Forces located and destroyed a terrorist weapons cache early today in Julaybah. Coalition Forces conducted a thorough search of the target area based on intelligence indicating this area was a historical location for al-Qaeda in Iraq leaders to meet and coordinate operations.” (READ MORE)

IRAQI, COALITION FORCES SEARCH MOSQUE, DETAIN INSURGENTS, DISCOVER IEDS “Iraqi and Coalition Soldiers searched the Al Gafour Mosque in Hit, Iraq, Wednesday after receiving small-arms fire and rocket-propelled grenade attacks from insurgents within the mosque compound. Iraqi and Coalition Soldiers established a cordon around the mosque before entering. During the cordon, they received additional small arms fire from nearby insurgents. The forces returned fire, and then Iraqi Soldiers entered and led the search of the mosque and two nearby buildings.” (READ MORE)
