ISF Condust Operations to Capture Illegal Armed Group Leader

BAGHDAD – Special Iraqi Army forces, with coalition advisors, detained three people during operations Dec. 14 in Baghdad, to capture the leader of an illegal armed group who is responsible for multiple attacks against Iraqi security forces in the area.

Iraqi forces entered a mosque in search of the group leader. The mosque was reportedly used as a meeting place for illegal armed group members.

There was minimal damage done to the objective and there were no Iraqi civilian, Iraqi forces or coalition forces casualties.
