STS-116 Ready for Launch

At 7:48 p.m. Nasa announced that:

At T-51 minutes and counting, the orbiter's hatch has been closed and latched for flight.

If the weather cooperates Shuttle STS-116 (Discovery) will launch at 2135 hours this evening. And if the weather cooperates here in the mid-Atlantic region should be able to see the shuttle streak across the sky as it flies North East towards Maine and into orbit.
