Multi-National Division – Baghdad
BAGHDAD — Elements of the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, captured 13 suspected insurgents and recovered several weapons as Operation Arrowhead Strike III continued Jan. 3 in a northwestern neighborhood of the Iraqi capital.
Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment and 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment are all working in northwestern areas of Baghdad to support Operation Arrowhead Strike III.
Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 1st Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division and police officers from the 5th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division are working closely with the coalition forces in this operation.
