Just back from a weekend of molding minds and teaching young men responsibility and now its off to work, also known as camping with the Boy Scouts.
Actually we got back yesterday, but needed the time to do some more jobs around the house, such as clean the gutters, air out, dry and repack the tents.
The trip this weekend? 30 miles on the C&O Canal. One more section and the most of the troop will have biked the entire distance...next? Do it all again for the younger scouts just joining. Of course, we all know about the weather in the Mid-Atlantic so while we were prepared for rain, I don't think anything prepares you for the amount of rain we encountered and the amount of mud that can develop along the canal.
So how much mud was there?
