Belfast Telegraph | 03 April 2013 | Victoria O'Hara | A heroic soldier who nearly died after he was blown up in Afghanistan has spoken of his remarkable recovery – and determination to make the most of life – just 10 months after the Taliban attack. Bryan Phillips (27) lost both legs but escaped with his life in June last year when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated during a patrol.
