A short recon of what’s out there that might draw your attention.

Jay of Stop The ACLU writes ACLU Says Lethal Injection Violates 1st Ammendment “The cruel practice of partial birth abortion, where the baby’s skull is punctured and the brains sucked out, is a cause the ACLU find worthy. Just mark it down as a woman’s reproductive rights. Injecting a critically ill person with deadly chemicals in the cause of euthanasia is another cause the ACLU champion. But to lethally inject a heinous criminal? Well, of course that violates the First Amendment…”

Jay Tea at Wizbang writes Sittin' on the dock of the bay, watching the political tide roll away “Now that the port deal with the UAE is pretty much dead, it's time to move on. No, I am still convinced that it wasn't that big a deal, and no threat to our security, and think that the protests and objections were mostly hype, and I still hold my suspicions that the unions were behind a good chunk of it.
It's time to move on, however. The battle is lost (not that I ever had much interest in fighting it), and now we should look at the lessons learned -- and see how it can help us in future battles”

Expose the Left has Olbermann Attacks O’Reilly Over Talk Show Call (VIDEO) “Keith Olbermann did another Bill O’Reilly hate segment on tonight’s edition of Countdown. Like he did on Friday, Olbermann bashed O’Reilly because the FOX News host dropped a caller who mentioned Keith’s name on his daily radio show…”

Kobayashi Maru writes Waking Up to a Three Decade War “The Daily Standard and FrontPage magazine seem to be the only 'regular' media picking up the (identical, mirrored) story by Thomas Joscelyn that Iran helped the Taliban to fight the U.S. (H/T: Regime Change Iran) The revelation emerges from thousands of pages of Guantanamo tribunal transcripts - material released March 3rd by the Pentagon in response to litigation by the AP. (Aside to the MSM: careful what you wish for.)”

MasterGunner of Tanker Brothers writes Civil War? Where? “The more I hear about this whole civil war in Iraq hysteria, the crazier I think the MSM really is.
Are they really hoping, with bated breath, a civil war that would claim the lives of hundreds of thousands Soldiers and civilians? And why? Out of spite for the President?”

Wretchard of The Belmont Club writes Zinderneuf ...Power has many definitions. One of the most important leaps of strategic intuition in history was some sailorman's realization that, contrary to the received wisdom of armies, bodies of water were not obstacles but roads. That intuition was taken to its logical conclusion by the exponents of Sea Power. They understood that power, to be useful, must be projected; and that without projection that power it was inert and useless.

Willie at Soldiers’ Angels Germany writes Cindy Sheehan at Ramstein Air Base and the war against the terrorism and their heroes! “Why must she demonstrate against the United State policy here in Germany? This is not the right place! I am glad that the German/American political relationship has turn for the better now! I know here in Germany, a lot of young people do not remember what the Americans have done for us after the WWII. Without the Americans we had not what we have to day! If you are engage in that the US soldiers do in Iraq, you know that they help to build up the Iraqi people their country again!”
