"I have been working with Mark Gadsen a U.S. Postal Inspector in NC and we are trying to have the Thomaston GA Post Office named in honor of SFC Bobby Hollar. SGT Hollar was a postal worker in civilian life and served with the 108th CAV out of Griffin GA with my son, SGT Mike Stokely. Sept. 1 was the one year anniversary of SFC Hollar's death when his Humvee was hit by a powerful IED.
SFC Hollar was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. In addition to these medals, he had or was awarded various service and achievement medals. He was, to say the least, a dedicated and competent soldier who served his state and country well.
SFC Hollar was a dedicated postal carrier and employee in civilian life, assigned to the Jonesboro GA postal facility. Although SFC Hollar was not a Georgia native, he had long ago taken up residency in the Thomaston GA area and that is where he called home, and his wife still resides in a neighboring county."
This is a wonderful piece of legislation and an honorable way to honor a man that gave his all for our country as well as his adopted state.
So what can you do? If you are a blogger you can post this message on your site so that others will read it and learn of our actions in honoring SFC Hollar.

I know this is a good thing we can do to honor the memory of SFC Hollar and to show the anti-war/anti-military crowd that we truly do support our troops and everything they sacrifice for us.
If you would like to read the letters already sent by Mr. Stokley and Mr. Gadsen please do so by leaving a message in the comments section.
Thank you.
