Happy Birthday - Army's 232nd Today

Since its establishment on June 14, 1775 the United States Army has played a vital role in the growth and development of our nation. American Soldiers have fought in 10 wars, from the American Revolution through the Cold War, the Gulf War and the current War on Terrorism.

Today troopers in theatre, CONUS, Europe and around the world will celebrate the history, traditions and values of the US Army.

To a mistress that still pulls at my heart, the staff of The Thunder Run extends our congratulations and salutations to the US Army on this momentous occasion.

Since 1775 the US Army has risen to the occasion to accomplish the toughest jobs of the time and generations of American Soldiers have volunteered and answered the call to duty. They have out their “boots on the ground” where it counts, and they have fought for freedoms that we enjoy as American Citizens.

On the occasion of the Army’s birthday and on behalf of the staff of The Thunder Run, I would like to say to every soldier, current and former soldier - thank you for your service to our country.
