Terrorists Continue To Attack US Forces from Civilian Centers

Extremists continue to use hit, run attacks on Coalition Forces from Sadr City in violation of Sadr's orders to stop the violence:

BAGHDAD – Baghdad Soldiers conducting mounted patrols near Sadr City came under fire from criminal militia extremists from inside the district during two separate incidents Feb. 2-3.

Both incidents involved Soldiers with the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, working under 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. The Soldiers were not able to positively identify the shooters in either case, and consequently did not return fire in order to avoid harming Iraqi civilians.

There have been six attacks on Coalition Forces in the Thawra 1 and Jamilla neighborhoods of Sadr City through the first three days of February. Rogue militia forces appear to be behind many of the attacks, said officials with the 2nd BCT, 82nd Abn. Div.

Michael Moore's Freedom Fighters Kill 2 Children with a Car Bomb

A suicide car bomb attack killed two children, injured 11 more, and damaged an Iraqi school Nov. 15 in the city of Kirkuk:

[T]suicide car bomb killed an Iraqi teacher, two Iraqi policemen, and an unidentified Iraqi citizen. The wounded children, eight wounded IPs and 11 wounded Iraqi citizens were transported to the Sulymaniyah Hospital. All the child casualties were under the age of 12.

The Emergency Services Unit of the Kirkuk Police Department was the apparent target of the bombing. The commander of the unit, General Katab, was among the injured in the blast.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families of today’s attack. This senseless act of violence against innocent women and children and those who protect them, highlights the vicious nature of our enemy who contribute nothing except death and destruction for Kirkuk’s citizens,” said Col. David Paschal, commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. “The Soldiers of the Warrior Brigade will relentlessly hunt down those responsible for the attack and bring them to swift justice.”

Coalition Forces responded to help the IPs render assistance to the casualties.

The left has aligned themselves with the killers of children and just as they have done with Chavez and Stalin they are able to ignore the true intent and evil of their heroes. Their blood is on your hands!

The Innocent Continue to be Their Targets

A 10-year old Iraqi girl was killed when extremists detonated an improvised explosive device in the New Baghdad district of the Iraqi capital Nov. 11.

Following the attack, Iraqi Army troops and Soldiers with 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, rushed to the scene and sealed off the area.

One Army vehicle and an apartment were also damaged in the blast.

The victim, a student at Isha Primary School in New Baghdad, was struck by shrapnel from the blast.

The attack is under investigation.

I don't even know what to say. I'm just completely flabbergasted that there are many in this country and around the world that believe the media mis-information that portrays the US and Coalition Forces as the agressors in all this. al-Qaeda doesn't care about Iraq and its citizens they are only looking for a home base from which to continue to spread their facist beliefs.

Extremists Mortar School

On Sunday October, 7, extremists mortared a school in the Iskan District of Diwaniyah wounding 10 civilains, seven of them children in their continued attacks against the civilian population and Coalition Forces. Coalition Forces had set up a temporary base in the area and the school was mortared instead of the fort:

DIWANIYAH CITY, Iraq – Extremists carried out a mortar attack on a Coalition Forces temporary base in the Iskan District of Diwaniyah City Oct. 7.

The mortars hit a school resulting in the injury of 10 civilians including seven children.

“I strongly condemn such barbaric acts done without regard for the citizens of the town,” said Major General Tadeusz Buk, Multi-National Division – Central South commander. “I would also like to express my deep sympathy for the injured people and their families.”

The division has provided the necessary medical support for Diwaniyah Hospital to help the injured people.

“I hope that such a brutal act will unite all citizens of Diwaniyah to clear their city of the terrorist groups,” said Buk

VBIEDs Used Against Civilians During Ramadan

Two Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIED) set by members of the Religion of Peace shattered the fellowship of Ramadan in Northern Iraq killing 3 civilians, 3 Iraqi Police Officers and wounded numerous others:

TIKRIT, Iraq – Suspected Al-Qaeda terrorists initiated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive attacks directed against innocent Civilians and Iraqi Security Forces in Nineveh province and Salah ad Din province, Oct. 10.

“These senseless acts of brutality during Ramadan show complete disrespect for the faiths and traditions of the Iraqi people,” said Col. Gary Patton, chief of staff for Multi-National Division-North. “The brave men of the Iraqi Security Forces will not allow al-Qaeda to intimidate them even with these disgraceful acts of violence.”

The first attack, a suicide VBIED, was directed against a security checkpoint, west of the village of Khursabad, targeting a Kurdish Party headquarters building.

Iraqi police responded to the attack, securing the area while ambulances treated and transported casualties to a nearby hospital.

Two Civilians and two Iraqi soldiers were killed, while 16 Citizens and five Iraqi soldiers were wounded.

The blast also damaged three buildings and six vehicles.

A second VBIED detonated east of Tikrit, killing one Iraqi policeman and one local Iraqi Citizen.

Twenty-two people were also wounded. 4th Iraqi Army Division responded to the scene and secured the site while first responders from fire, rescue and IPs began rescue efforts.

All casualties were transported to the Tikrit Teaching Hospital.

Iraqis Escape from Toture House and Prison

After Coalition Forces aircraft engaged and serendipitously killed their captors several Iraqi citizens escaped from the makeshift prison in which they were being held and then led Coalition Forces to the prison, where the remains of eight bodies were found:

TAJI, Iraq – Seven Iraqi citizens made their way to a Coalition patrol base near Khan Bani Sa’ad Saturday, after escaping a makeshift prison.

Attack helicopters patrolling the area earlier in the morning observed three armed individuals moving in a tactical formation through a ditch in the area. After positively identifying the individuals as hostile enemy forces, the helicopter fired on their position, killing all three.

The escapees identified the remains of the three individuals as their captors and led Coalition ground forces to the location of the makeshift prison.

The CF Soldiers found eight bodies believed to be of both Sunni and Shia sect inside the makeshift prison, which the escapees identified as fellow prisoners. Each had gunshot wounds to the head and showed obvious signs of torture.

Their remains were turned over to Iraqi Police.

The seven escapees, who also showed signs of torture, were taken to an Iraqi clinic for treatment.

Shia and Sunni were in this prison...still think its a civil war or a radical group like alQaeda that is doing the most killing in Iraq. AlQaeda knows that they can get each sect to attack the other by their brazen attacks on the populace. Fortunately the citizenry have decided that al Qaeda is not their friend and they are turnning them out at every opportunity.

Iraqi Army Units First To Deliver Aid to Victims of Recent Bombing.

After al Qaeda set off several devitating car bombs in a last ditch effort to disrupt the turn of events in Iraq and attempt to sway public opionin once again, Iraqi Army Forces swept in to provide humanitarian aid and medical supplies to the bombing victims:

SINJAR – Iraqi Army soldiers were among the first to respond with humanitarian assistance to the victims of the deadly terrorist bombings in the Sinjar area of Ninewah Province which killed hundreds of Iraqi citizens on Aug. 14. Terrorists associated with Al Qaeda in Iraq and the Islamic State of Iraq are believed to be responsible for the multiple truck bomb attacks.

Within hours of the terrorist attacks in the small northwestern Iraqi villages of Khataniyah and Al Jezeera, two battalions of the 3rd Brigade, 3rd Iraqi Army Division, were on scene in Khataniyah providing immediate medical assistance and humanitarian aid to the displaced and injured Iraqi people. The Iraqi and U.S. Special Forces delivered several pallets of food and water to the survivors.

The elements from the Iraqi Army responded in force to the deadly attacks and immediately evacuated urgent patients from the blast sites to the Sinjar and Bi’aj hospitals. The continued Iraqi effort over the following days resulted in the successful recovery of two little girls buried alive in the rubble. Iraqi bulldozers, water trucks and ambulances continue the relief efforts.

Iraqi Army Soldiers, U.S. Special Forces and Coalition Forces delivered trailers of food and water to the local Iraqi citizens, while Coalition aircraft air-dropped additional medical supplies to the devastated villages.

When the enemy kills innocent civilians who responds with aid, US Forces and Iraqi Army units. When the enemy kills and creates fear, Coalition Forces rebuild and provide aid that allows the populace to return to their normal lives.

Michael Moore's Freedom Fighters Strike Again (Part 222)

The real enemy in Iraq only interested in creating chaos and hampering the local populace from returning to a life of normalcy, continued to launch attacks against the civilain population. In Qubuq insurgent groups detonated a VBIED against villagers which killed and injured dozens, and in the al-Baladiat area of eastern Baghdad insurgents launched morter rounds into a residential neighborhood:

MOSUL, Iraq - Extremists detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device in the village of Qubuq, located 15 km north of Tal’Afar, killing more than 25 Iraqi civilians and injuring dozens more Aug. 6.

The attack occurred in a marketplace a few minutes after 7 a.m., and initial reports indicate approximately 10 buildings were destroyed. Both Iraqi Army and police units assisted the victims. The wounded were evacuated to both Tal’Afar and Mosul for medical treatment.

“This is a heinous attack against the people of Iraq, and another example of the terrorists’ complete disregard for Iraqi lives,” said Maj. Rodger Lemons, operations officer, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.

Qubuq is a small village of mixed Sunni and Shi’ite ethnicities. The bombing is currently under investigation.

Coalition Forces are supporting recovery operations and helping Iraqi Security Forces with logistical needs including blankets, water and food.


BAGHDAD — Multiple mortar rounds fell into the al-Baladiat area of asternBaghdad, with several impacting near a gas station as day broke at approximately 6:30 a.m. Aug. 5. Iraqi Police and Coalition Forces quickly responded, talking with local residents in the area confirming that no one was injured from the attack.

As a new month begins in the Iraqi capital, militia and extremist groups continue to launch indirect fire attacks, directly affecting Baghdad communities. Twenty attacks have been launched in the first five days of August, with 12 attacks landing directly into Baghdad residential areas.

“Extremists continue to use indirect fire attacks that hit innocent Iraqis inresidential areas,” said Brig. Gen. John F. Campbell, deputy commanding general for maneuver of the Multi-National Division – Baghdad and the 1st Cavalry Division. “The Coalition and Iraqi Security Forces will continue to seekout and stop those responsible for these attacks.”

Areas affected by extremist indirect fire attacks during the first five days of August
include the al-Masafee, al-Sadiyah and al-Karb-de-Gla areas of theRashid District in southern Baghdad, the al-Baladiat area in the southeastern New Baghdad District and the al-Yarmouk area in western Baghdad’s MansourDistrict.

The perpetrators of these attacks and dozens just like them are only interested in making the populace suffer. They are not freedom fighters but rather bullies looking to ferment violence and gain power by making life miserable for the locals, and garner world opinion that Iraq is a lost cause.

Insurgents Target School in Taji

Al Qaeda extremists, operating in the area, are responsible for the emplacement of the explosives in an effort to thwart the progress the local government has made to improve the lives of the people of Taji by targeting a school in Taji:

CAMP TAJI, Iraq — Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers responded to an attack comprised of numerous improvised explosive devices that severely damaged a school in northern Baghdad July 13.

Soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division responded to the attack, shortly after 6 a.m. The explosions were heard and seen coming from the Al Malahma School, located less than a mile west of Camp Taji. When the soldiers arrived at the site, unexploded containers of high-explosives and an initiation device were found around a large portion of the school that was still standing.

The Al Malahma School building was part of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers initiative to improve the condition of the educational infrastructure in the area. The 1250 square-meter facility consisted of 23 classrooms and could accommodate 900 students. The school completed its last quality assurance/quality control inspection last week and would have been opened for the coming school year.

So Mr. Moore's and Ms. Sheehan's freedom fighters the people who are being somehow oppressed by George Bush and the American war machine are targetting schools and innocent civilians in their struggle against America. Somehow I don't think so, Al-Qaeda and the other Muslim insurgents only mission is to cause chaos and mayhem, and force their will upon an unarmed populace. They care nothing for human rights and continue in their oppression of the young children of Iraq.

ISF, CF Ensure Baqouba Safe for Local Residents

With more proof available that the enemy is only interested in generating headlines Iraqi Security Forces in conjunction with Coalition Forces searched Baqouba for booby-trapped houses, making sure the residences were safe for civilians to occupy:

Iraqi Security Forces and Coalition Forces continued to methodically clear booby-trapped structures on July 1st as Operation Arrowhead Ripper entered its 13th day.

As ISF and CF continue to clear al-Qaeda out of Baqouba, they have discovered many booby-trapped structures in the Mujema section of town that were left behind by al-Qaeda as they attempted to flee. These structures, many of which are houses, pose a great threat to the local residents and are too dangerous to be disarmed.

“The house-borne IED threat here is unlike anywhere else in Iraq at the present,” said Col. Steve Townsend, commander of the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. “We have encountered 24 HBIEDs in the past 11 days.”

Another heartless and cowardly attempt by al-Qaida against the people of Iraq. When al-Qaeda rigs these homes with explosives, it not only deprives Iraqi families of a place to live but also endangers the entire neighborhood. Since the beginning of the operation, 24 booby-trapped structures have been destroyed. Additionally, at least 60 al-Qaida operatives have been killed, 134 have been detained, 45 weapons caches have been discovered and 96 improvised explosive devices have been destroyed.

Freedom fighters indeed....murderers is more like it.

Another Haditha in the Making?

As the case against the Haditha Marine's falls apart we find that the enemy isn't above attempting to set up even more troops with claims of over agressiveness and murder:

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Coalition Forces killed two terrorists and detained 29-suspected terrorists during operations targeting al-Qaeda in Iraq and its foreign fighter network Friday.

Two coordinated operations in Mosul targeted a Kurdish extremist known for helping al-Qaeda in Iraq facilitate foreign fighters and conduct financial and media operations. Coalition Forces entered the first targeted building, isolated the women and children and moved further into the house. While maneuvering through the target building, an armed man engaged the ground force with small arms fire, endangering the force and the innocent family members. Coalition Forces defended themselves and the women and children by killing the armed terrorist.

Coalition Forces identified the terrorist as part of the al-Qaeda in Iraq network that recruited and transported foreign fighters into Iraq for participation in suicide bombings and other terrorist activities. Coalition Forces detained seven suspected terrorists during the raids for their alleged involvement in the network as well.

In Baghdad, Coalition Forces conducted an operation to capture an al-Qaeda in Iraq senior leader in the area. As Coalition Forces entered the building, a man continuously made hostile attempts to evade the ground forces and ignored the translator’s instructions to comply with the Forces’ orders. Reacting appropriately to the perceived hostile threat, Coalition Forces engaged the man, killing him.

So it seems that Michael Moore's freedom fighters are only interested in causing indiscriminant violence that threatens the safety of innocent Iraqis, to the point of murdering their own family members if they think it will serve there purposes. I honestly can't understand how someone could honestly believe that Al-Qaeda in Iraq is in any shape or form: the good guys.

Insurgents Attack Iraqi Civilians

In an obvious attempt to sway world opinon and incite sectarian violence terrorists launched a rocket attack against civilian targets in Baghdad:

BAGHDAD — Five Iraqi citizens were killed when a 122MM rocket struck a building causing it to collapse in the Al Mansour district of Baghdad June 19.

Both Iraqi Army and Coalition Forces responded to the scene of the attack after a rocket struck the building in the neighborhood of Yarmouk, causing it to collapse and kill five Iraqi citizens and wound six others. The Yarmouk hospital confirmed the casualties U.S. Forces confirmed that the rocket was fired from north of the city approximately 10 miles away.

The attack is believed to have been carried out by Jaysh Al-Mahdi militants and was directed at the Sunnis region of Al-Mansour and is an idicator of how effective the surge is becoming in shrinking the terrorists ability to fight back.
