Concerned Citizen Leads U.S. Soldiers to Cache

As more and more citizens realize that the route to normalcy is by getting rid of the terrorists operating within their county and neighborhoods, more citizens are coming forward and supplying Coalition Forces with actionable intelligence that results in great finds for Coalition Forces. Recently another concerned citizen decided that the terrorists were the source of their chaos and led U.S. Soldiers to a cache of weapons:

RUSHDI MULLAH — A concerned Iraqi citizen led Coalition troops to a weapons and ammunition cache along Route Malibu, near Rushdi Mullah, Aug. 4.

Soldiers of 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) out of Fort Drum N.Y., followed the man to the cache site, where they uncovered weapons buried in the ground.

The cache consisted of a ZSU-1 anti-aircraft weapon, 200 12.7mm heavy machine gun rounds and four 57mm rockets.

An explosive ordnance disposal team destroyed the contents of the cache in a controlled detonation.

As more and more citizens begin to come forward the terrorists hold on the populace will fail just as it is in large sections of Iraq now. Al Qaeda in Iraq and other insurgent groups are finding it harder and harder to hide in teh shadows and their power is waning. While the terrorists will continue to use IEDs against the populace all in an attempt to paint a false picture of Iraq, the inevitable is clear, Iraq has turnned the corner. As locals choose normalcy over chaos and local leaders meet to work on recstructing their neighborhoods, Iraq will rise out of the ashes and the terrorists will be forced out.
