Great news! Operation Love From Home, Inc., is now officially incorporated with the Georgia Secretary of State's Office! (Just in time, too.... we'll be collecting Christmas/Holiday cards for the troops starting very soon...Oct. 1, to be exact... our first big card drive as an "official organization!")
The next move is to apply for our 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt status with the IRS. Our attorneys will be getting that started as soon as possible ~ stay tuned for more details!
In other news....
We have several groups of troops who have signed up through our website, some of whom have requested Halloween cards/goodies, etc. for their platoons. So if you are looking for a quick little project for your kids or scout troops or what have you... here's your chance! (Yes, we'll take donations of candy, but no chocolate or melty stuff just yet..still too freakin' hot in the desert for melty stuff!). Deadline for Halloween cards (and all other holidays) can be found on our website under the "Upcoming Projects" link.
