I'm writing to tell you about a grassroots effort to convince TIME Magazine to consider the military family as its 2011 Person of the Year. It's not supposed to be an honor and it's not designed to put military families on a pedestal - it's to recognize the indisputable impact they've had, and the resilience they've shown and continue to show, after a decade of dealing with their own effects of war and deployments.
