BAGHDAD — Multi-National - Force troops have taken part in a three staged operation alongside soldiers from the Iraqi Army and officers from the Iraqi Police Force.
In the early hours of Feb. 6, soldiers swooped on a number of locations in Hay A'Tanumah on the eastern bank of the Shatt Al'Arab opposite the main town of Basra.
These locations were suspected of being used for criminal activity in the Basra province. Six people were detained during the operation and later released. A quantity of munitions were discovered and later disposed of by explosive experts.
